The University of Medical Sciences Ondo state has just released the long awaiting Post Utme Admission Form For 2023/2024 academic session.
This was released on 10th of July 2023 by the school in their official portal.The University hereby invites all suitably qualified candidates for undergraduate admission in the 2023/2024 Academic Session.
The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo State is the First (1st) specialized Medical and Health Sciences institution in West Africa.
It’s Ranked by the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) as the 19th best university in Nigeria. Ranked 3 Best among Specialized Universities (Medicine, Science, Technology) in Nigeria. 4th federal university. 2nd best university out of seven (7) public and private universities in Ondo State, after FUTA; and is the first public university in Ondo state.

Eligibility
- Candidates must have scored 150 and above in the 2023 UTME and choose “Ondo State University of Medical Sciences” as their most preferred (1st) choice.
- Candidates must obtain a minimum of five (5) credits in either NECO, SSCE and GCE O’ Level, which must include English Language, Mathematics three (3) relevant subjects as may be specified by each Faculty.
- For Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Dentistry (BDS) and Doctor of Physiotherapy applicants, the five (5) O’level credits must include Mathematics, English, Biology, and Physics & Chemistry which must be obtained at only one (1) sitting.
Direct entry.
- Direct entry candidates are required to have a minimum of ten (10) points in relevant A level subjects, B.Sc. Degree or Diploma in the Basic Medical school or Basic Science subjects with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division).
- For Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry programmes, a minimum of thirteen( 13) points in applicable ‘ A ’ level subjects, and Alternate Class Upper,B.Sc Degree in any Basic Medical Science courses.
- For the Nursing science programme, campaigners with a first( 1st) degree in health- related and introductory science courses with a minimum of second- class lower honours; also candidates who are holders of the RN or RM certification from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria are also eligible to apply.
JAMB Subject Combination. All courses in Faculties require English Language, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in UTME Candidates applying for admission in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Computer Science are required to present a UTME.
How to Apply
Eligible applicants should log in to the official school’s website www.unimed.edu.ng and follow the following steps:
1. Click on Admission on the top right bar
2. Click on the Post UTME to enter the Post-UTME Portal
3. Click on PAYMENT to make payment using the online payment system.
4. After payment, ensure you Print Payment Receipt
5. On the Post-UTME Portal, Click on Login to Login with your UTME/DE Registration Number and Payment Transaction ID as Password to complete the screening form.
Venue For the Post Utme Examination
The Venue of Examination, and other necessary information for the 2023/2024 Screening Exercise will be communicated to only registered candidates by August, 2023 using their individual portal on the University Website.
Candidates date and time will be generated on the application slip
Necessary Things to Bear in mind
All candidates will be required to bring the following items to the screening venue:
- JAMB 2023 UTME Notification of Results Slip/ Registration Slip
- For Direct-Entry Candidates;Print a copy of the completed 2023/2024 Post UTME Screening slip.
- Direct Entry Candidates should endeavor to request for their Official Academic Transcripts from their previous institution which must be forwarded directly to the Registrar of the University of Medical Sciences, Ondo state, through the following address: Office of the Registrar, University of Medical Sciences, Laje Campus, Ondo City.
