The Pan African University(PAU) is a post graduate training and research across the Africa globe.

The University is recognized and supported by the African Union and the Association of African Universities.

The Pan African University was an idea by the African union of universities in 2008 as part of implementation of the Plan of Action for the Second Decade of Education for Africa.

The university was made to support the implementation of the Plan of Action for the Second Decade of Education for Africa, to support and restore quality higher education in Africa.

In 2010 The Head of state of the African union made a final decision to establish the oan African University (PAU) and in December 14th 2011 Pan African University (PAU) was formally established and accredited by the African Universities Commission .

It is the peak point of continental initiatives of the African Union Commission to revitalize higher education and research in Africa.

Pan African University is recognized institution of the African union and it encompasses the Department of Human resources, Sciences and Technology.

Universities Hosted under PAU

Pan Africa Universities Institutes are in four major Africa’s four regions North Africa, West Africa, Eastern Africa and central Africa.

The institution is within existing universities of high academic excellence in the following regions. There universities are as follows:

  1. The Abou Bzekr Belkaid University of Tlemcen, hosting the PAU Institute for Water and Energy Sciences (including Climate Change (PAUWES), in Algeria (Northern Africa)
  2. The University of Ibadan, hosting the PAU Institute for Life and Erath Sciences (including Health and Agriculture, PAULESI), in Nigeria (Western Africa)
  3. The Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology hosting the PAU Institute for Basic Sciences, Technology and Innovation (PAUSTI), in Kenya (Eastern Africa).

Admission Requirements For Pan African University.

Masters Programmes.

Candidates must meet the following criteria before been eligible for Pan African University Admission Process.

Candidates should have a Maximum age of 30 years for male and 35 years for female applicants.

Candidates should have an Undergraduate degree from a well known university, with at least a second class upper division or its equivalent, in a relevant courses.

Candidates should provide Certified copies of relevant certificates, transcripts (from university and high school)Passport or National I.D. card Clear colored passport size photograph (2cmx2cm)Detail CV.

Candidates should provide a Recommendation letter from a University lecturer in his/her former School.

For PHD

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

Candidates should have a Maximum age of 35 years for male and 40 years for female applicants

Candidates should have a Master’s degree in a relevant courses from Pan African University or any international recognized university

Eligible candidates should provide Certified copies of relevant certificates, transcripts Passport or National I.D. card Clear colored passport size photograph (2cmx2cm);Detailed CV Recommendation letters from 2 Professors University Teachers (with email adress and whatsapp number);(Mandatory).

Note that: Candidates may need to undergo a written/oral examination after selection.

Candidates for Master Degree are required to have certain knowledge of at least two of the African Union’s official languages (Arabic, English, French, Spanish and Portuguese).
