What are the requirements you must meet to be admitted to Lagos State University(LASU)
To be admitted into Lagos State University (LASU), you need to meet certain requirements.

1.Education requirements : You should possess a minimum of five (5) credit passes in your important subjects, including Mathematics and English Language, at not more than two (2) sittings in Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or NECO, GCE, etc
2. JAMB UTME: You are required to sit for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
3. JAMB Subject Combination: Ensure that you select the correct JAMB subject combination for your desired course of study at LASU. The specific subject requirements can vary depending on the course, so it’s crucial to verify the current requirements for your chosen course.
4. Screening Exercise: After meeting the JAMB UTME cutoff mark, LASU conducts a post-UTME screening exercise for prospective candidates. You need to participate in this screening process and attain the required minimum score to be considered for admission.
5. Candidates must have reached the age of 16 before admission process.
6. Candidates must put LASU as their first choice when filling out their JAMB form: LASU does not accept second choices. So you must make sure while filling your form you put LASU as first choice if you didn’t you can go to any CBT center nearby and change it
Direct Entry (DE) Requirements:
If you are applying for direct entry admission into LASU (i.e., you have a diploma or advanced level qualifications), you should possess the appropriate qualifications such as the National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or an equivalent qualification relevant to your desired course.Note that is always important to upload your o level results in your JAMB caps failure to do that won’t guarantee you admission.

Does Lasu offer Post Utme?
No, Lasu does not do post-UTME. Lagos State University organizes a screening exercise as a procedure for admitting students into various courses. You have to purchase their screening form online and fill in your details.
What is Lasu screening cut off mark for all courses?
LASU does not have any specific screening cutoff marks for any course. To be eligible for the screening exercise, you must pass the general cutoff mark, which is 195 and above as of 2023.
Note that this can change at any time, irrespective of the performance of students.
Remember that meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission into LASU.
There are other factors that can determine your chances of being admitted to Lasu.One of them is Indigenship: indigenes of Lagos State have a higher chance of being admitted to LASU than non-indigenes. For example, an indigene with a JAMB score of 200 may have a greater chance of being admitted than a non-indigene with a JAMB score of 215.
So if you are really determined to study at LASU as a non-indigene, you need to score extremely high in JAMB and have a very good O-level result.
