LASU is a state owned university in Lagos state Nigeria. They do conduct an exercise called Indigenship Verification(IIVE) for admission process.

What is IIVE?

Indigenship verification exercise is a process every indigene Lagos state undergoes before been admitted into the Lagos state university.

It is what gives you an edge over other applicants after you must have fulfilled all necessary requirements like making 195 and above in the just concluded UTME and having a good aggregate score as much as 50% in screening report.

All indigenes of Lagos State who chose Lagos State University as First Choice in the just concluded Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) and scored a minimum of 195 are hereby informed that the registration for Indigeneship Verification Exercise for the 2023/ 2024 Admission Exercise will commence on Thursday, 20th July and close on Friday, 18th August, 2023.

REQUIREMENTS FOR LASU INDEGENESHIP VERIFICATION:

  1. Photocopy of Birth certificate of the Applicant.
  2. Photocopy of Birth certificate of the Applicant father.
  3. Evidence of Title to Landed property (Long-standing title usually over 50years)
  4. Written Testimony from relevant Oba to certify claim to Lagos State.
  5. Written Testimony from Secretary to your Local Government Area.
  6. certificate of origin from Local Government
  7. O level Result
  8. Original Jamb result.
  9. Passport Photograph(3 copies)
  10. Evidence of Payment of N5,000 Naira Only for IIVE Form (Remita receipt)

Note that you don’t need to necessary bother yourself if you can’t provide the evidence of Landed Property

Second Phase Monday, 31st July, 2023 to Thursday, 3rd August, 2023

The LASU screening form for both indigenes and non indigenes is Two thousand naria (2,000).

Do Lasu consider indigene?

Yes, LASU Always consider Thier indigenes during the admission process. As an indigene of Lagos state there’s is an 80% chance you will be admitted in LASU if you meet the necessary requirements

NOTE.

Old applicants for 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 Academic Sessions that have not been offered admission will only Revalidate their indigeneship Clearance Certificates online at www.lasu.edu.ng with payment receipt

Direct Entry applicants who are of Lagos State Origin are to participate in this Indigeneship Verification Exercise before they can be considered for admission.
