•POST UTME= 40%

•O’level (WAEC/NECO or it’s equivalent)= 10%

UTME calculation(50%):

UTME score will be divided by 8, For example Adebayo scored 260 in UTME.

Then his UTME aggregate score here would be 260/8 = 32.5%

POST UTME calculations (40%):

This is very straight forward cos the exam would be 40 indomitable questions which features Your four(4) UTME subjects (10 per subject) but English Language would be replaced with Aptitude test, i.e he wouldn’t be for sitting English at all in OAU Post-utme.

Each question carries 1mark except if there’s Negative marking.

Now let assume he score 28/40 in post-utme.

O’level Calculations (10%):

This can be calculated in two ways;

Method 1:

Kindly note that

A1 = 10

B2 = 9

B3 = 8

C4 = 7

C5 = 6

C6 = 5

D7,E8,F9 = 0

Here, grades would be substituted for each of his UTME subjects (4), but now plus 1 best grade(from any subject) to make it 5 subjects.

So for example Adebayo o Level grades are:

English (A1)=10

Government (B2)=9

Literature in English (A1)=10

Economics (B2)=9

Civic (A1)=10

Let calculate (i.e total divided by 5), we have :10+9+10+9+10=48/5= 9.6 therefore his O’level score is equal to 9.6/10.

Method 2:

Here we only adds and don’t divide. Kindly note that:

A1=2.0

B2=1.8

B3=1.6

C4=1.4

C5=1.2

C6=1.0

D7,E8,F9=0

Now let’s assume Adebayo O level grades are

English (A1)=2.0

Government (B2)=1.8

Literature in English(A1)=2.0

Economics(B2)=1.8

Civic (A1)=2.0

So it would be 2.0+1.8+2.0+1.8+2.0= 9.6

So Adebayo’s Post Utme aggregate score will be 32.5%(UTME aggregate score) + 28(post Utme examination score) + 9.6(O level aggregate score)= 70.1%

So Adebayo’s OAU Post-Utme aggregate Score is 70.1%.
