It is one of the first four(4) polythecnic established in Nigeria. It’s located in Auchi Etsako west local government area of Edo stated.

It was founded in 1963 first as a technical college and then in 1973 the Bendel state government upgraded the technical college to a full polythecnic in order to train skilled students upto Diploma level.
